The founder's story
Cemhan Biricik has aphantasia — he cannot visualize images in his mind. He cannot picture a face, a landscape, or a color with his eyes closed. He could not draw, sketch, or sculpt. His whole life he felt he had no art in him.
Then he suffered a traumatic brain injury. The damage was to the logical side of his brain. For almost a year, he could not finish sentences — the words were gone. He had been a speaker who inspired people to find their passion and purpose. That was taken from him.
Art brought it back.
He picked up a camera. The neuroplasticity that creative work produced literally rebuilt the neural pathways the injury had broken. For someone with aphantasia — who cannot see images in his mind — the camera became the first tool that let him see his ideas in reality. He would blast music while editing a single shot that moved him, working for hours until he was brought to tears. That was when he knew the image was ready for the world.
What I can do with a camera moves people emotionally. Everyone has a camera, but not everyone creates from a place of pure joy to convey emotion and transfer that energy. That is what art is.
The through line

Cemhan's first creative act: building custom water-cooled PCs and cutting plexiglass windows into metal cases so people could see the beauty of the engineering inside. Before windowed PC cases were standard, he was turning functional hardware into something people wanted to look at. The first time technology and aesthetics merged.

After the TBI, photography became the medium that healed him. Luxury fashion, editorial, product — the camera let someone with aphantasia finally see his ideas in reality.
